Terms of Service
Last updated 5 September 2026
Plain version: the spreadsheets are yours once you buy them, the Pass is cancel-anytime, nothing here is financial or tax advice, and if something's actually broken we'll sort it. The detail is below.
Who this is
SteadyKeel is operated by Graham, a UK sole trader. These terms are between you and Graham, trading as SteadyKeel. For anything to do with an order or your account, email hello@steadykeel.co.uk.
What SteadyKeel is
Spreadsheet tools and a hosted members' area ("the SteadyKeel Pass") for freelancers and the self-employed, to help plan around irregular income. Every tool, whether a downloaded file or a hosted tool, is a planning aid, not financial or tax advice. Check your actual position with an accountant or HMRC before relying on any figure it produces.
Buying a one-off tool
- You get an Excel file (also opens in Google Sheets), yours to keep and use for your own freelance or small-business finances.
- Not for resale or redistribution — buy your own copy, don't share the file or resell it as your own product.
- Digital products are delivered immediately on payment, so purchases are non-refundable. If a file is genuinely broken or won't open, email us and it gets sorted — a working replacement or a refund, our choice, always in your favour.
The SteadyKeel Pass (subscription)
- £5/month or £40/year, billed by Stripe. For the Pass, Stripe is the merchant of record (branded "Onelink" at checkout and on your bank statement) — Stripe handles the sale tax and payment, we handle the product.
- Cancel anytime from your account page (Stripe's customer portal). You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for; no partial refunds for unused time.
- If you cancel, your account and saved figures stay in place in case you rejoin later. Delete your account any time to remove everything immediately instead — see the Privacy Policy.
- Prices can change for future billing periods; we'll email you first if they do.
Your account
Sign-in is passwordless (an emailed link) — keep your email account secure, since that's what secures your SteadyKeel account. One account per person; don't share login access. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — the tools calculate from what you give them and can't check it against reality.
Availability
This is a small, independently-run service. We aim to keep it running but don't promise it will be available every minute of every day, and we're not liable for losses from any downtime. If something's broken, email us — we'll fix it as fast as a small operation can.
Liability
The tools help you plan; they don't replace professional advice, and we're not liable for financial decisions made using them. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for Pass members, let you know by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If a dispute can't be sorted by emailing us first, it falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
